Cambridge medical centre

You cannot close a medical centre for eight months, so we did it in four stages with a temporary reception in a portacom and a covered walkway that moved twice. The hard part was not the building. It was the noise: consult rooms operating four metres from a demolition face. We shifted every percussive task to before 8am and after 6pm and lost programme deliberately to keep the practice trading. They saw patients every working day of the build.
